SESSION
A family mini session is a short, fun, and easy going photo shoot designed for up to six members of one family. It’s the perfect opportunity to capture beautiful, professional images without committing to a full-length session.
What Is a Family Mini Session?
Mini sessions are held on specific dates throughout the year. On each mini session day, I photograph four to five families at pre-booked time slots. Each session lasts just 20 minutes—but that’s plenty of time to create a lovely set of images you’ll treasure.
The locations vary depending on the season and availability. From scenic parks and countryside spots to the beautiful beaches and open spaces around Brighton and Sussex, each backdrop is carefully chosen to provide a natural and stunning setting for your photos.
What happens at a mini session photoshoot?
Childhood portrait sessions should be fun and relaxed, not stressful. The best photos happen when your child feels comfortable and happy, so I aim to create an easygoing, enjoyable experience for everyone.
Before the shoot, we’ll discuss outfit ideas and choose locations where your child feels at ease.
It’s normal for kids to need a little time to warm up—initial shots help them get comfortable in front of the camera, and as the session progresses, they’ll naturally relax and be themselves.
Lasting about up to 2 hours, the session includes moving between different spots within the location for a variety of beautiful shots. I prefer a documentary approach, capturing real, candid moments rather than stiff poses, so most of the best images come when your child is simply enjoying themselves and unaware of the camera.
My goal is to make the experience enjoyable and authentic, so you end up with genuine portraits that truly reflect your child's personality.

Booking a Mini photo session is simple and flexible.
Step One: Reserve Your Session
To book your session date, a deposit of £125 is required. This fee saves your spot on my mini session calendar and includes a friendly pre-session chat, helpful prep emails, and phone support to make sure you're all set for the big day. This fee includes up to 15 photos
Step Two: Pick Your Favorites
After your session, you’ll get to see and download all your photos as high resolution images. You'll also receive five museum-quality prints (up to 12" x 8" in size). In the shop link, you can also choose from a selection of framed photographs.

Mini Sessions are priced at £345
£125 at time of booking and
£225 within 3 weeks of your session date
Please note: The session fee includes all your photos as high resolution images. You'll also receive five museum-quality prints (up to 12" x 8" in size). It does not include framed prints or any other products. You'll receive a link where you can choose from a selection of framed photographs if you wish to order these separately.
*These prices apply to family photoshoots at a specified location in Sussex. You can pick from various time slots, subject to availability.
The session fee is required at the time of booking and includes both the planning and the photoshoot itself. This fee covers the following
— Preparation emails to help you feel relaxed and ready for your photoshoot.
— A relaxed and enjoyable 20 minute photo shoot for up to 6 members of your family, held at a scenic outdoor location in Sussex*
— Expert editing and retouching of the images captured during your session.
— Access to a private online gallery where you can view at least 15 photographs and make your selections.
— All images from your gallery can de downloaded as high resolution digitial files.
— Five museum quality prints of your choice (up to 12" x 8" in size).
